Shimla, is a city in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is also the capital of the state and a municipal corporation of himachal pradesh . shimla is also a small and beautyful distric of H. In 1864, Shimla was declared the summer capital of British . Shimla is also known for tourist destination, Shimla is often referred to as the "Queen of Hills" this term is given by britishs. Shimla is Located in north-west Himalayas at an altitude of 6390 ft (2130 meter). The city of Shimla, draped in forests of alpine, rhododendron, and oak, experiences pleasant summers and cold, snowy winters. The city is famous for its buildings styled in tudorbethan and neo-gothic architecture reminiscent of the colonial era. Shimla is connected to the city of Kalka by one of the longest narrow gauge railway routes still operating in India. Shimla-kalka narrow gauge railway is also world heritage property. Shimla is 120km from Chandigarh, the nearest major city, and 365 km (226.8 miles) from New Delhi, the national capital. The city is named after the goddess Shyamala Devi, an incarnation of the Hindu Goddess Kali.[3]

HIMACHAL PRADESH most beautifull plasce of INDIA.This is situated in north India. Even you can find these words in wikipedia,"हिमाचल प्रदेश is a state in the Punjab region of north-west India. Himachal Pradesh is spread over 55,780 square kilometres (21,537 sq mi)[1] and is bordered by the Indian states of Jammu and Kashmir on north, Punjab on west and south-west, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh on south, Uttarakhand on south-east and by Tibet on the east. The literal meaning of Himachal Pradesh is Region of snowy mountains.[2]
Himachal Pradesh was also known as Deva Bhoomi (the land of the gods). The Aryan influence in the region dates back to the period before the Rigveda. After the Anglo Gorkha war, the British colonial government came into power. It was initially in Punjab, except Siba State of Punjab Hills, under the rule of Maharaja Ranjit Singh till 1857 [3] In 1950 Himachal was declared as the union territory but after State of Himachal Pradesh Act 1971 Himchal emerged as the 18th state of Indian Union.
Himachal Pradesh has one of the highest per capital incomes of any state in India. Due to the abundance of perennial rivers, Himachal also sells hydro electricity to other states such as Delhi, Punjab & Rajasthan.[4] The economy of the state is highly dependent upon three sources i.e. hydroelectric power, tourism and agriculture.
